Teaming Up for Seamless Execution

This facility is located at the famed Scioto Downs Harness Racing track that was originally constructed in 1958. Welty, alongside Gilbane Construction Company, acted as the Construction Manager for the project. Phase 1a was a pre-engineered metal building supplied by American Building Systems which measured 300’ x 300’ plus a mezzanine for B.O.H. (back of house) support, and gaming commission offices. Part of the Phase 1b addition was to remodel part of the existing structure creating a buffet with seating for over 200 patrons. The site consists of approximately 65 acres of which provided parking for over 2,900 cars and 50 buses. This entire area is paved, landscaped and lighted for customer safety.
