inSITE Advisory Group supported the City of Canton by providing on-demand economic development services focused on business retention, expansion, and strategic redevelopment. Acting as an extension of the City’s economic development team during an time of transition, inSITE conducted Business Retention and Expansion visits with local employers to better understand workforce needs, facility challenges, and future investment plans while coordinating follow-up support and connections to available resources.

In addition to direct business engagement, inSITE assisted with site selection, redevelopment opportunities, incentive and grant support, and developer outreach. Through close collaboration with City leadership and regional partners, inSITE helped strengthen Canton’s capacity to support existing businesses, respond to emerging challenges, and position the community for long-term economic growth.

Key outcomes included:
• Direct engagement with major employers to identify workforce, facility, and investment needs
• Identification of opportunities for operational expansion and improved space utilization
• Connections to state and regional resources, including potential incentives and equipment support
• Support for site selection, redevelopment planning, and developer outreach
• Added capacity for City staff through on-demand economic development expertise
