June 16, 2021 – Akron, OH – Welty Development, a full-service developer focused on multi-family, corporate, and healthcare real estate projects, named Tom Charek as President. In his new role, Charek will build out the real estate portfolio and develop properties through joint venture partnerships. In addition, he will provide professional services in Program Management, Owner Representation, Finance and Fund Sourcing.

Tom Charek has spent his entire career in commercial construction and real estate development. He grew up in a family construction and development business and spent his 20-year career working with notable construction management and development companies in Greater Cleveland. He has a unique perspective on building the right team for each project and a rich network of partners and resources to bring that vision to market.

Tom is passionate about the betterment of children and their families and serves on the Board of Directors of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Ohio, where he oversees the real estate portfolio. Additionally, Tom serves on the Board of Directors of the Rainey Institute and recently joined the board of the Northern Ohio NAIOP.
