Year of CompletionBack to ProjectsSummit County Board of Elections
Welty Construction served as Construction Manager for the Summit County Board of Elections build-out and renovation in Akron, Ohio. The two-phase project transformed an existing facility owned by the Summit County Land Bank to help consolidate the Board of Elections’ operations under one roof, while also providing space for the Ohio Means Job Center.
The project included approximately 57,600 square feet for the Board of Elections and 10,400 square feet for the Ohio Means Job Center. Phase 1 was especially time-sensitive, with renovations needed ahead of the 2024 election to ensure critical printing operations were ready. To help meet the schedule, Welty worked closely with the design team to identify quick-ship materials and equipment that aligned with the project budget and timeline.
During Phase 2, Welty continued collaborating with the design and ownership teams to identify value engineering opportunities and buyout savings without sacrificing quality. As a result, the project was completed significantly under the Owner’s published budget.
