Old Akron Post Office

Historic Renovation for Adaptive Reuse

The Main Post Office Building is a cornerstone of Akron’s historic district. Originally built in 1929, Welty served as program manager and construction manager for the extensive renovation of the building – allowing it to be used for new tenants, like Summa Health System, while preserving the building’s historic integrity.
