Upgrade and Expand the Kilgore Flares Operations in Toone

Welty was selected to upgrade and expand the Kilgore Flares operations in Toone over the next five years. Defense contractor Chemring Group will invest $40 million in the project which will cover new technology, processes and equipment. Kilgore Flares will replace, refurbish and modernize buildings on its campus. Construction of a new flare extruder and assembly facility and other investments will triple Kilgore Flares’ current production capacity in Hardeman Count and create approximately 100 jobs. The first expansion phase began in the third quarter of 2018. Kilgore Flares anticipates the expansion will be completed in 2022.
