Renovations as part of the Summer Refresh Project

Welty was selected to perform Construction Management Services for the renovation of Wilbur Wright and Benjamin Franklin Schools as part of Cleveland Metropolitan School District’s summer refresh program. The Wilbur Wright project includes the selective demolition and renovation of the school, as well as the addition of a new HVAC system and electrical work, LED lighting, flooring, ceilings, kitchen equipment and finishes. The Benjamin Franklin project includes demolition and reconstruction of the front terrace and stairs, exterior masonry tuckpointing, interior corridor painting, new lockers, construction of an elevator shaft for a future elevator, technology upgrades including a video surveillance system and new sound systems in the classrooms, gymnasium, and cafeteria and two mock-up sample classroom improvements.
