Camp Manatoc
Project Type: Education, Welty Select
Owner: Great Trail Council of Boy Scouts
Welty Construction served as the Construction Manager, overseeing the project from preconstruction through completion to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency. The result is a modern, functional facility that supports experiential education while advancing the Boy Scouts’ mission to equip young people with practical skills, confidence, and a strong work ethic.
The project consisted of the new construction of a 3,200-square-foot educational facility designed to serve school-aged children, supporting the Boy Scouts’ long-standing commitment to character development, leadership, and hands-on learning. The facility was created as a dedicated environment where youth can explore and develop practical, career-building skills aligned with the Boy Scouts’ focus on preparedness, craftsmanship, and lifelong learning.
The building provides specialized spaces for instruction in skilled trades, including welding, plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, and computer-aided design (CAD). These programs give participants early exposure to technical fields, encouraging problem-solving, critical thinking, and an appreciation for the trades that build and sustain communities.
