Exciting Organizational Changes at Welty

The return of a former CFO, and title changes for other key Welty executives highlight recent news from the Welty Building Company and its affiliates.

Dustin Ellenberger, who previously served as Welty’s CFO from 2019 to 2022, rejoined the firm on July 15. He returns with a proven track record of success, as he was credited with achieving significant improvements in banking relationships, internal customer service, business intelligence, and cash management during his previous time with the company. As CFO, he is again responsible for the company’s financial strategies, systems, controls, reporting, and maintaining relationships with key legal, financial, and trade partners.

At Welty Construction, Paul Becks, previously executive vice president, was named president.  Paul has helped Welty Construction generate record revenues and results. With 23 years of experience in the construction industry, he is an expert in Lean Construction and Integrated Project Delivery. He has worked on projects valued at more than $3 billion in nearly every market sector, including corporate, industrial, healthcare, institutional, mission-critical, and high-rise, multi-family construction.

Welty Energy’s Bob Smith has also been named president.  The former executive vice president’s leadership has helped Welty Energy grow to almost 100 employees and become a significant revenue generator within the Welty organization. With more than 25 years of experience as an electrical power engineer, engineering manager, project and program manager, and business development professional, Bob is an expert in all areas of electrical design and engineering, substation and electrical grid interconnection, and project execution.

Finally, Beth Crean has been named President of Environments 4 Business (e4b), Welty’s affiliate that provides business clients with furniture solutions and architectural products.  Formerly the company’s chief operating officer, she replaces Fred Chaney, who has transitioned to president emeritus of the firm.   Beth, who has more than 30 years of experience in the furniture business, has been responsible for the day-to-day operations and financial results of e4b since 2023.  She previously served as Business Development Manager of the Hon Company in Pittsburgh, Pa., and also worked in the Cleveland offices of WB Mason and Global Total Office.
