Q&A session with: Michael Taylor
Why you love what you do?
I get to come to work everyday to do what I’ve always dreamed of doing. It challenges me and allows me to grow each and every day.
What is the proudest moment of your career?
The promotion to Vice President with a focus on business development and sales. My ambition was always to take on these roles, not only is this a true honor, but this is a lifelong dream come true.
What is your fondest industry memory?
During my first gig in 2013 as an intern, I spent the entire summer working with a 5 member demolition crew for the massive Goodyear Headquarters project. The memories, laughs, and experience will never be forgotten.
How do you give back to the community?
Welty is so involved in our communities – our teams are giving of time, treasure, and talent. We offer incentives for employees to support causes inside and outside our industry. I focus much of my charitable efforts on volunteerism, not-for-profit boards, monetary donations, and serving on engagement committees.
What do you enjoy most about your career?
The people that I get to work with, because of the fantastic culture we have here. Also, being able to drive around town and look at buildings Welty has built is so cool. To know that we have made the difference in so many peoples live by giving them an extraordinary building experience.
