Italian Company RUPES USA, Inc. to Open Operations in Northeast Ohio

RUPES USA, Inc., a global leader in innovative, high-quality professional tools and dust extraction systems announced plans to locate operations in Solon. The company plans to add 53 new positions to support its continued growth. The Ohio Department of Development (ODO) approved the project for tax credit during its Ohio Tax Credit Authority meeting today.

The expansion in Solon will support manufacturing, distribution, and workforce training while positioning the company for future growth. It will enhance supply-chain reliability, reduce lead times, and strengthen RUPES USA, Inc.’s manufacturing footprint to better serve customers across the eastern U.S.

“We considered other states but, ultimately, Team NEO and JobsOhio made this an easy decision. Ohio is the most business-friendly state and has a workforce with the skillset we will need to continue growing,” said Chris DeVito, President of RUPES USA, Inc.

“We plan to not only relocate and consolidate our operations in Northeast Ohio, but continue to expand here, and with Team NEO as our partner we are confident that we can leverage a robust JobsOhio incentives toolbox to support our growth both now and in the future.”

Amid competition from other states, a collaborative team, including ODOD, JobsOhio, City of Solon, inSITE Advisory Group, and Team NEO, worked together to develop the business case for RUPES USA, Inc.’s first location in Ohio, establishing a presence in Solon.

“Northeast Ohio stood out as the ideal location for RUPES USA to increase capacity and better serve its customers,” said JobsOhio President and CEO J.P. Nauseef. “The new Solon facility positions the company for strategic growth in the North American market while reinforcing its commitment to strengthening U.S. production.”

RUPES USA, Inc. credited  proactive support from the team with helping make the process smooth and successful in a compressed timeline around the holidays.

“We are excited to welcome RUPES USA Inc. to the City of Solon,” said Mayor Edward H. Kraus, City of Solon. “Their expansion strengthens our manufacturing and distribution base, brings more than 50 new jobs to our community, and supports long-term economic growth. We look forward to welcoming their employees and supporting RUPES’ success for years to come.”

“Our client, RUPES USA, Inc., is a tremendous company with a long history of excellence in manufacturing,” added Sean Joyce, president of inSITE Advisory Group. “Their relocation to the City of Solon is a big win for the city and the region, and the collaboration and cooperation we received from Team NEO and JobsOhio was critical to the success of this project.”

Accounting for about 18-20% of the region’s gross domestic product (GDP), manufacturing is a driving force in Northeast Ohio’s economy.

“The decision for RUPES USA, Inc.  to locate in Northeast Ohio reinforces our region’s position as a leader in advanced manufacturing,” said Team NEO Chief Executive Matt Dolan. “Their investment builds on our deep industrial expertise, skilled workforce, and globally competitive supply chain.”
