    As part of the ongoing revitalization of Akron’s Bowery District, Welty served as the construction manager for improvements that support the transformation of this historic downtown area into a vibrant destination for residents and visitors. The project included the build-out of the Akron History Museum, creating a modern exhibit space dedicated to preserving and showcasing the city’s rich history.

    Welty coordinated and managed the construction of E-2 level restrooms serving both the museum and a future restaurant tenant within the Bowery District. In addition, the project included the installation of restrooms on the Canal Level (Basement Level 1) to support a future wine bar, further enhancing the district’s expanding hospitality and entertainment offerings.

    Through comprehensive construction management services, Welty oversaw project planning, coordination, and execution to ensure the successful delivery of these improvements. The completed work provided essential infrastructure to support current and future tenants while contributing to the continued redevelopment of the Bowery District. The project enhances the visitor experience and helps establish the district as a dynamic cultural and social destination in downtown Akron.
