The Project
After completing the Health Center at Lake Medina (Phase I) in the Fall of 2010, Welty was hired to construct the new free-standing emergency department on the Summa Health System Lake Medina campus. This $7.8 million building is a 20,000 SF addition to the existing facility. Welty was awarded this project after completing a successful Phase I of the campus project and by providing Summa with the lowest bid. The emergency department expects to provide care to 11,000 patients in its first year and provide an additional 40 jobs to the community.
