Welty Building Company and Fred Oliveri Construction Company Collaborate for Improvements on the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton

Welty Building Company, a trusted source for construction management of healthcare, higher education, government and not-for-profit facilities, has partnered with Fred Oliveri Construction, a Canton, Ohio-based firm specializing in commercial, retail and restaurant construction to complete $15.5 million of renovations at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame project, set to kickoff in September of 2011, includes a newly designed entrance and orientation area, expansion of the retail store, office relocation, an indoor event space addition, and upgrades to the HVAC and mechanical systems. The architect for the project is Cleveland, Ohio-based Westlake Reed Leskosky.

“Much of the previous renovation work at the Hall of Fame was completed by Oliveri; and that paired with Welty’s experience and success on the Akron Art Museum and Inventure Place made this partnership a winner,” said Donzell S. Taylor, President and CEO of Welty. “We are pleased to pair with a great local firm like Oliveri and have the chance to be involved in a project that will help draw visitors from all over the country to Northeast Ohio.”

During the annual Pro Football Hall of Fame activities and induction ceremonies of 2012, all construction will be on hiatus. Although an unusual tactic in construction, it will be necessary to maintain safety for the visitors and inductees.
